SCOTT CLAPSON-TAYLOR
Salon Manager, Scott Clapson-Taylor, originally from Hamilton, New Zealand, has been creatively inclined since childhood, exploring everything from singing to music and art. His hairdressing journey began as a teen, sweeping floors and washing hair on Saturdays. After completing a three-year apprenticeship, where he earned the 'Most Outstanding Apprentice' for each year running, he set sail for London. With more training and experiences at top London salons under his belt Scott has continued to grow and fuel his creativity. Scott has an innate and deep understanding of hair, from maintaining its health to achieving the perfect colour. With advanced training from Patrick Cameron, AVEDA, and Excellent Edges, he’s mastered everything from technical cuts to elegant up-dos. More importantly, Scott believes a great hairdresser is an attentive listener who truly understands their clients' wishes.
From New Zealand to the UK, with adventures in Africa along the way, Scott has plenty of stories to tell - just please don’t ask him to sing!
TEREZE RANCANE
Born in Latvia, senior stylist Tereze's first career ambition was to be a policewoman before cutting her doll's hair at the age of five and discovering a passion for hairdressing. She trained in both Latvia and in the UK, whilst also studying textile and fashion design, makeup and photography. Skilled in the subtle art of balayage as well as bold colour transformations, Tereze excels in putting clients at ease through her thorough and careful consultations. With Tereze her commitment to precision cuts and her specialist technical abilities lead to consistent and beautiful results. She believes the key to great hairdressing is to be friendly and professional, but above all make a damn good coffee.
VANESSA MUNTONI
Born in Sardinia Vanessa was forever by her mother, aunts or grandmother’s side when they went to the hairdresser. She would sit for hours watching the hair be coloured, blow dried and styled. Watching these transformations and the delight they brought inspired a passion for hairdressing. She studied hairdressing at the Cagliari European Institute of Design before moving to London. From 2015 she worked at the busy Toni & Guy in Croydon where she developed her technique and received further training. At Tokito Hair in Shoreditch, she developed more precise Japanese-style cuts. She joined The Box in February 2022 and became an instant hit with any client looking for great cuts, friendly staff and excellent service.
With years of diverse training and top-level experience, Vanessa is now the go-to hairdresser for clients seeking precision bobs and excellent customer service. She might be tiny, but she can wield her scissors like a ninja.
MEGAN HAZEL
Born in Enfield but raised in the South West, senior stylist Megan Hazell grew up dreaming of being a builder before discovering her creative calling. A school work experience placement in a salon sparked her interest in hairdressing, but she initially pursued fashion, photography and textiles, earning a degree in Fashion Marketing and working in PR and production for fashion shows. Eventually, she realised her true passion lay in creating styles herself.
Megan trained at the London Academy of Hair and completed her Level 3 qualification in Bristol while working at Saks salon. Dedicated to staying at the forefront of her craft, she has trained with experts like Emily Mander and Tia Lambourne in seamless balayage techniques and Patrick Cameron in bridal up-dos. Her specialism is creating luxurious, sunkissed colours with effortless blends that leave clients glowing.
Outside the salon, Megan loves running, HIIT classes, festivals and cosy cinema nights. A half-Danish advanced scuba diver, she brings her adventurous energy to everything she does.
Guillaume Ossant
Head stylist and Box founder Guillaume’s career began when used to style his grandma's dog 'Dolly'. He went on to be trained at the prestigious L’Oreal academie in Paris before being recruited to manage one of West London’s busiest salons. Since then he has trained at the Goldwell KMS academy in Santa Monica, LA and successfully managed two other West End salons. Guillaume has successfully established himself as the go-to hairdresser for expert balayage, ombre colouring, hair contouring and precision cuts. Since opening The Box his proudest achievements have included being nominated for best New Salon in Creative Head Magazine's award ceremony in 2017 and Winning Time Out's 2018 Love London award for best local hairdresser. Outside of work he is a Celine Dion fan, an enthusiastic horticulturalist and a terrible cook.
FRANKIE ALAÏA OSSANT
The youngest member of the team, North London born Frankie Alaïa Ossant is the part-time fluff-ball at The Box. Frankie won over salon owner Guillaume with her boundless energy, enthusiasm and customer service skills. She isn’t afraid of a challenge, has no idea quite how small she really is and has never met a person she didn’t want to smooch.
