Deptford's New Salon at The Arches: Our First Week
The Box has just closed for the Bank Holiday weekend and we are taking a deep breath before we start again on Tuesday. This is an excellent opportunity to reflect on our first week of hairdressing at the Deptford Market Yard and share our thanks with all the people who helped us along the way. It's been great seeing so many of Guillaume's regular clients in the new salon and very reassuring to see so many new faces. Thank you to all the clients for their custom, kind reviews on Facebook Google and Yelp, gifts of flowers and wine and for even walking Jacqui.
A huge thank you to the very talented Selwyn Amos who built our stunning interior overcoming dozens of problems to help us achieve our very specific vision. We hold a glass up to your eye for detail, creativity and your incredible stealth. Five days for the entire build minus the three days they couldn't deliver the wood - that's impressive. We decided to share a few images of the progress from neglected Victorian railway arch to fabulous Deptford hairsalon.
We should also like to thank the whole team at U+I for getting the site shipshape and for the many media shoutouts. Keep up the good work guys! Thanks also to the site security, the builders, the cleaners and that really big German Shepard (Jacqui has a crush).
We are so excited to meet all our neighbours over the coming weeks and have already become great friends with Becki at Win & Ruby.
Together, let's make Deptford Market Yard London's coolest new destination and let's have fun doing it.
